Abstract

This paper synthesis to estimate theoretical model from the experimental data of the (I-V) characteristics in different thickness of PbS photodetector at power intensity of illumination 9.3 mW/mm2. Thin films of PbS with different thickness have been prepared on glass substrates in room temperature by vacuum evaporation technique. The thickness of the deposited films is measured by Weight method to be (500, 1000, 1500, and 3500) Å. PbS thin film of thickness 500 Å has best thickness to get highest optoelectronics properties. A power (a, b, c) equation is an estimated theoretical model for the effect of thickness of this photodetector on the (I-V) characteristics. This model was done by using “Table Curve 2D, version 5.01” software.
